Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the main liaison for one or more offshore facilities addressing subsea system operational challenges and interactions.
  • Detect and coordinate the investigation of irregularities and failures within subsea control and production systems, maintaining historical records in the Asset Tracking Register database.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and light intervention work scopes, including scheduling, cost management, procedure development, and execution.
  • Collaborate closely with production engineers and offshore operations to pinpoint areas for enhancement, including subsea hardware, control systems, and operator HMI and software interfaces.
  • Conduct surveillance of the subsea system through data trends and analysis (SEEQ) and engage with production and operations teams.
  • Propose improvements or upgrades to subsea systems and prepare presentations to secure project approval from stakeholders.
  • Participate in both internal and external multi-discipline engineering reviews and risk assessments.
  • Contribute to the development and/or implementation of strategies for managing subsea system obsolescence.
  • Review the Subsea Leak Detection System (SSLD) in collaboration with offshore operations, production engineers, and subsea facilities engineers to assess and resolve alarms, as well as implement performance and infrastructure updates.
  • Design and deliver training on subsea equipment and hardware to offshore production operations teams.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party contractors and offshore operations teams to facilitate safe and effective project execution and problem resolution.
  • Lead initiatives for top-tier HSE performance, embodying Client LiveSafe values.
  • Communicate project performance metrics to stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in deepwater subsea and offshore engineering.
  • Current THUET certification or willingness to obtain it (Tropical Helicopter Underwater Egress Training).
  • Basic understanding of subsea production system hardware and its interfaces with control systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of P&IDs, electrical and hydraulic schematics, general assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic familiarity with GOM regulatory requirements for subsea systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks effectively within a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment.
  • Strong technical writing skills, including experience in drafting detailed test and execution procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of Subsea Control Modules, including leading troubleshooting and diagnostics efforts.
  • Experience in planning and executing control system hardware and software updates on offshore platforms.
  • Experience in executing ROV vessel IRM campaigns.
  • Familiarity with SEEQ and OSiSoft Pi.
