Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist
Under general supervision, the
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist conducts magnetic resonance imaging examinations utilizing MRI equipment. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, accurately positioning them, adjusting imaging settings, and executing computer processing to display images. Furthermore, they play a crucial role in formulating protocols for patient imaging studies and executing quality assurance checks on imaging devices.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is mandatory.
  • Ongoing education hours must be maintained.
  • Certification as a Healthcare Provider is necessary (BCLS).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Radiography is preferred but not essential.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

  • Registration with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, or with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS),
  • Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) with advanced ARRT registry in MRI or registry eligibility.
  • If registry eligible, the certification must be achieved within 12 months of employment commencement. Failure to secure the registry within the specified period will lead to termination of the
    Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist position.
