As a Magnetic Resonance Tech at Henry Ford Health System, you will perform magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance imaging device. This includes preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images.

Assist in developing protocols for patient studies and perform quality control procedures on equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for magnetic resonance imaging studies
  • Position patients correctly for imaging
  • Set imaging parameters and perform computer processing
  • Display images and assist in developing protocols for patient studies
  • Perform quality control procedures on equipment

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Must maintain required hours of continued education
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS)
  • Two years of experience in Radiography recommended but not mandatory

Certifications/Licenses Required:

  • Registered with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) with the advanced ARRT registry in MRI
