Overview:


This role is essential for monitoring the facility to ensure a secure and healthy environment for patients, families, and staff.

This position involves fostering a constructive working relationship with Children's Health System of Texas employees, various agencies, and the public to effectively communicate and implement procedures in a professional manner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility, both inside and outside, enforcing hospital policies, rules, and regulations; provide directions and information throughout the premises and assist with security-related issues.
  • Verify that all entrances and exits of the facility are secure.
  • Ensure that all individuals entering the facility are properly identified.
  • Document incidents occurring on the property.
  • Report any irregularities, emergencies, or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
This is a full-time role with all shifts available.

Occasional floating to other Children's Health locations may be required. (Start times can be discussed during interviews)

Compensation:
$23.12 per hour

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES

  • Texas Department of Public Safety - Texas Private Security Bureau Registration - Non-Commissioned Security Officer training and certification must be completed within 6 months of employment. Required.
  • Valid Texas Department of Public Safety Driver's License upon employment is required.
  • Pediatric Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PPMAB) training must be renewed according to standard every 60 days, required.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements within 60 days, required.
  • Basic Level Certification (CHSO) through the International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety organization must be obtained within 180 days of hire for new employees. Existing employees must obtain this certification by the specified deadline. Required.
