Job Title: Senior Mechanical Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Dewberry. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for managing projects from concept through design, bidding, negotiation, and construction administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain primary one-to-one contact with clients to understand their needs and goals.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead and organize design teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients to develop additional work and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for new projects, track proposals through award, and ensure project profitability.
  • Provide quality control to ensure all client needs and requests are met.
  • Supervise and coordinate the submission of documents to reviewing authorities and ensure timely responses.
  • Perform site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities as required to support Construction Administration requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Accomplished Professional Engineer (PE) with 15+ years of experience preferred.
  • Knowledgeable of construction process, familiar with AIA contracts, and self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organized with a good understanding of healthcare plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems, and general knowledge of applicable codes, national standards, client design standards, system operation, space requirements, and cost.
