About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Dewberry. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering group, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and oversight on a variety of projects, ensuring that they meet contract specifications and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance and quality oversight on all project work involving Mechanical engineering.
  • Develop and implement technical training programs for staff.
  • Assist in establishing and improving standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the mechanical discipline area.
  • Engineer of Record, providing technical and cost estimates as needed.
  • Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
  • Technical interface with code officials and contractors.
Requirements
  • Accomplished professional engineer (PE) with existing licensure in IL preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical oversight of multiple projects.
  • Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized, with good note-taking skills.
