Role Overview

As an Equity Quantitative Research Analyst at Barclays, you will leverage your quantitative and analytical skills to enhance trading strategies, manage risks, and facilitate informed decision-making within the investment banking sector. Your expertise in quantitative analysis, mathematical modeling, and technology will be pivotal in optimizing trading and investment prospects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute quantitative models and strategies to gain insights into market trends, enhancing trading decisions, pricing, and risk management across diverse financial products and markets.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify client requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Conduct thorough research, data analysis, and statistical modeling to extract insights into market dynamics, pricing, and risk factors.
  • Provide essential front office infrastructure support by managing and maintaining analytical libraries.
  • Offer expertise on quantitative methodologies, technological innovations, and industry best practices to foster innovation within the trading environment.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership and senior management, on areas of functional and cross-functional impact and alignment.
  • Assess and mitigate risks to support the control and governance agenda.
  • Exhibit leadership and accountability in managing risks and enhancing controls related to your team's activities.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions to contribute to business objectives.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with business activities and strategies.
  • Develop solutions through sophisticated analytical thinking, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
  • Incorporate extensive research outcomes into problem-solving processes.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve key business objectives, utilizing influencing and negotiation skills.

Compensation

Salary Range:
Minimum: 155,000
Maximum: 225,000
