Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA San Carlos Animal Hospital. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the veterinary technician staff, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the veterinary technician staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and service.
- Implement department policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and regulations.
- Schedule staff and conduct team meetings, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Train veterinary assistants and technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional patient care.
- Enforce charge captures and accurately handle and record controlled drugs, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Record keeping and facility maintenance, ensuring the hospital is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in a veterinary hospital setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and veterinarians.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of veterinary hospital policies and procedures, with the ability to implement and enforce them.
- Ability to train and develop staff, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and service.
