POSITION SUMMARY
The Medical Imaging Specialist is accountable for delivering radiological care to patients across all age groups, from infants to seniors. This role involves executing related responsibilities to ensure high-quality service in accordance with departmental and Hunt Regional Healthcare standards and protocols.

Required Licenses/Certifications:
The specialist must hold ARRT registration and possess a valid Texas State license. CPR Certification is also required.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS

  • Exhibits a thorough understanding of and compliance with the HMHD Compliance Plan.
  • Conduct aligns with HMHD's core values and demonstrates a commitment to the HMHD Code of Conduct.
  • Participates in mandatory corporate integrity and compliance training sessions.
  • Shows proficiency in grasping the materials presented during corporate integrity and compliance training.
  • Adheres to all HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintains current CPR certification at all times.
  • Consistently documents the patient's name, date of birth, examination, and clinician. Verifies the requisition for completeness regarding patient information and the tests ordered.
  • Regularly produces diagnostic-quality radiographs as requested by medical personnel.
  • Understands and implements radiation safety measures.
  • Accurately prepares oral and IV contrast agents.
  • Supports the training and mentoring of Radiology students and new staff members.
  • Assists in various other areas as trained, fulfilling any additional responsibilities to meet the needs of the department, hospital, and its patients.
