Job Overview

The APP- Stephenson Cancer Center position at OU Health is a comprehensive role that requires an advanced practice provider to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team. This individual will provide high-quality patient care, education, and health promotion in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

About the Role
This role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care coordination for patients with acute and chronic health needs. The successful candidate will work closely with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care while promoting OU Health's educational and research missions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs accurate and complete history and physical assessments of patients.
  • Orders diagnostic studies and interprets results.
  • Develops, implements, evaluates, and alters the plan of care as needed.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Patient Care
This position involves providing patient-centered care, which includes compassion, empathy, and clear communication among all members of the healthcare team. The successful candidate will consider cost-effectiveness and risk-benefit analysis when making decisions about patient care and utilize evidenced-based medicine to analyze and improve patient care practices.

Salary
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of healthcare knowledge and services. Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited school of professional nursing (MSN or Master's in Physician Assistant Services) and experience working as an Advanced Practice Provider in designated specialty. You should also hold active RN and APNP licenses in Oklahoma or PA license and NCCPA certification. As a certified healthcare professional, you must obtain required licensure and certifications as outlined by applicable state law, licensing regulations, and institutional policies.
