As a Special Education Teacher with the Sulphur Springs Union School District, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality educational services to students with mild to moderate disabilities. This position requires a highly skilled and dedicated professional who can develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Assess Student Needs: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the learning needs of individual students and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Create and implement individualized education plans that meet the diagnosed needs of each student, including developing and selecting appropriate teaching techniques, materials, and resources.
- Monitor Student Progress: Regularly evaluate student progress and adjust IEPs as needed to ensure students are meeting their educational goals.
- Communicate with Parents and Colleagues: Keep parents, teachers, and other stakeholders informed about student progress and involve them in the IEP development process.
- Stay Current with Educational Standards: Maintain a deep understanding of California Standards for the teaching profession and ensure that instructional programs meet district and state guidelines.
- CA Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential: Possess a valid California Education Specialist Mild/Moderate credential with authorization in Autism, Resource Specialist Program, and English Learner (EL) instruction.
- Application Materials: Submit a complete application package, including a letter of intent, resume, three letters of recommendation, and copies of relevant credentials and certifications.
