The IT Support Specialist will provide essential support to the Army Corrections Command (ACC) Army Corrections Brigade (ACB) G6.

This role involves delivering a range of computer hardware and software services to end users, ensuring the uninterrupted functionality of our government IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:


Deliver help desk support and information; identify the root cause of issues; propose temporary solutions if immediate resolution is not feasible.


Address user inquiries and requests, providing technical assistance on PC systems, associated hardware and software, and standard applications.

Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC/server hardware and software.

Implement and manage software upgrades; optimize operating systems to improve PC performance.

Establish and configure network interfaces and Internet connections.

Identify and resolve network cable and configuration issues.

Install and maintain specialized software, including performing setup functions.

Collaborate with the local Network Enterprise Center for support coordination.

Manage support tickets for users in the Training Management Directorate (TMD).

Develop and implement a comprehensive set of standards for the deployment of current and future information systems.

Provide on-call support outside of standard working hours for unplanned events or scheduled service interruptions.
