Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Claims Specialist to join our team at The Auto Club Group. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for handling complex and high-risk claims, working closely with insureds, physicians, and medical insurance carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Handling: Review and analyze complex claims, negotiate settlements, and make determinations on coverage and liability.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain strong relationships with insureds, physicians, and medical insurance carriers to ensure effective communication and resolution of claims.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations of claims, gathering and evaluating evidence to determine the validity and extent of claims.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, including documentation of communication, investigation, and resolution.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including underwriting, recovery, and claims special investigation units, to ensure seamless claim resolution.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in claims handling, negotiation, and investigation, with a focus on complex and high-risk claims.
  • Skills: Advanced technical knowledge of insurance laws and regulations, including the Essential Insurance Act (Michigan) and Fair Trade Practices Act. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
