About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Account Specialist to join our team at Fastenal. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales plan to reach and exceed sales goals in a local territory
  • Support the day-to-day needs of the branch's key accounts
  • Work directly with key accounts to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Grow and maintain an assigned book of business
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure branch success
Requirements
  • Possess a current full valid driver's license and meet our driving record requirements
  • Possess or be working towards a degree in Business/Marketing or have related industry experience and knowledge of the local market
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving, deductive reasoning, and decision-making skills
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service-oriented
  • Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
  • Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs
  • Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

The pay range for this position is $43,400. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a monthly commission.
