Overview:
Job Summary

Your role involves maintaining and replenishing stock efficiently and safely to fulfill customer purchasing needs. You will foster a friendly and courteous atmosphere, emphasizing customer care. Generally, shifts are 6-8 hours long, typically scheduled between 9:00 pm and 9:00 am.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Actively seek opportunities to welcome, engage, serve, and express gratitude to customers.
2. Maintain a positive atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, focusing on customer satisfaction.


3. Ensure the quality condition of all products; stock, rotate, and face products; remove outdated and spoiled items, and keep the stockroom organized.

4. Cut boxes accurately and place smaller containers on shelves.

5. Uphold a safe, secure, and sanitary work environment.

6. Order products, cut cases, stack, price, and label merchandise.

7. Build product displays and operate related equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

8. Perform all job duties with honesty and integrity.

9. May assist in training other employees.

10. Carry out additional duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements:

Ability to:
1. Consistently provide friendly and courteous service to both internal and external customers.

2. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing.

3. Work varied nights in a 24/7 operation, including weekends and holidays.

4. Reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 40 lbs. frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

5. Push and pull hand trucks and pallet jacks containing substantial weight.

6. Stand, walk, and move rapidly for extended periods.

7. Bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.

8. Ensure safe and accurate completion of work activities.

9. Perform repetitive tasks accurately and with mental alertness.

10. Conduct basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).


11. Learn and memorize product locations, check stand and keyboard procedures, company policies, PLU codes, inventory control merchandising, and shipping and receiving processes.

12. Exhibit manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for moving freight.

13. Work in varying weather conditions for outdoor duties.

14. Manage potential hazards related to equipment, tools, and work aids.

15. Work in freezer and cooler environments.

16. Conduct visual inspections of merchandise being placed on shelves.

17. Perform tasks requiring manual dexterity for placing small items on hooks, shelves, etc.

18. Must be 18 years of age or older.

19. Execute primary duties efficiently and accurately.

Additional Requirements:
Food Handlers Certification (as per State Laws).

Machines Operated:
Electric and manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, garbage and cardboard compactors.

Forklift as needed.

Box knife.
