Theriogenology Professor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as a Professor of Theriogenology. The successful candidate will have a strong background in reproductive biology and a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.

Teaching:

The Professor of Theriogenology will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the DVM professional curriculum, as well as participating in the graduate clinical training program of the VMTH.

Research:

The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a creative and productive research program in reproductive biology, including publication of results in professional/scientific journals.

Service:

The Professor of Theriogenology will be expected to participate in departmental, university, and public service through committee membership, participating in professional organizations, continuing education, and community outreach.

Basic Qualifications:

A PhD and/or DVM degree with advanced research training in reproductive biology is required.

A documented record of creative scholarship or potential to develop a research program in reproductive biology is required.

Demonstrated aptitude and experience in teaching are required.

The successful candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated aptitude and experience in teaching are required.

Preferred qualifications include comparative and small animal reproduction and/or endocrinology expertise.

Board certification in or completion of a residency (or equivalent) approved by the American College of Theriogenologists (ACT), the European College of Animal Reproduction (ECAR), or the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) - Animal Reproduction is also preferred.
