Respiratory Therapist-RRT

The Respiratory Therapist-RRT is a vital member of the healthcare team at Bothwell Regional Health Center, responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. This role requires a strong foundation in respiratory therapy principles, with a focus on patient assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medical gases, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medications to patients with respiratory conditions.
- Operate ventilators, humidifiers, and other respiratory equipment to support patient care.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and bronchoprovocation tests.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway management procedures as needed.
- Document patient care and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
- Registration (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
