The Nurse Policy Analyst will engage in comprehensive analysis of medical benefits within the Medicaid/CHIP Policy Development Division, contributing significantly to the development and refinement of policies.

Key responsibilities include:
- Clinical Literature Review: Conduct thorough research and synthesis of peer-reviewed literature and evidence-based practices to inform medical, dental, and mental health benefit policies. Provide complex medical information to nonclinical audiences and consult with stakeholders on Medicaid program benefit policy issues.
- Policy Development: Review and enhance existing benefits while creating new policies for Medicaid medical services. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive benefit policy development and implementation.
- Project Leadership: Lead or participate in workgroups and public meetings focused on policy research and evaluation. Represent the department at conferences and prepare detailed project updates and reports.
- Quality Assurance: Identify effective management strategies for benefit changes, maintain organized records, and review regulations impacting program policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong research capabilities, including experience with literature reviews using electronic databases.
- Experience in clinical practice guideline evaluation and clinical quality improvement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and adapt to changing team dynamics.
- Knowledge of Health and Human Services programs, particularly Medicaid/CHIP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with medical terminologies such as CPT and ICD-10 is advantageous.
