Job Description

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Member of Technical Staff to help design and develop high-performance API services that secure and protect API traffic at OCI. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale services in a distributed cloud environment and contribute to the development of innovative new systems to power our customers' business-critical applications.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop highly scalable and performant API services used by hundreds of teams at OCI
  • Implement, deploy, and operate highly available and secure cloud services
  • Participate in our on-call rotation to monitor our service fleet
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, developing large-scale distributed services/applications
  • Proficiency in Java/Python/C++ and Object-Oriented programming
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cloud computing & networking technologies
  • Experience developing distributed systems
  • Knowledge of APIs and API Security
