Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight and Component Quality Inspector to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that aircraft undergoing maintenance, repair, and alteration conform to approved technical data and are in a safe operating condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections of aircraft for functional operation and conformance to FAA, government, and company standards and specifications.
  • Inspect the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft.
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft.
  • Inspect Critical Characteristics (CC) in accordance with the Sikorsky Flight Safety Parts Program.
  • Perform receiving inspection of all material for compliance prior to installation on the aircraft.
  • Release aircraft for flight operations.
  • Inspect any adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft.
  • Perform internal audits to monitor and verify quality in accordance with approved company processes, procedures, and approved/accepted technical data.
  • Provide Overhaul and Repair Quality inspection support at the component level to the Sikorsky Commercial FAA Repair Station.
Requirements
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with years of experience on Sikorsky rotary wing aircraft or other large multi-engine helicopters.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector.
  • Familiarity and comfort working around live aircraft.
  • Ability to work in a component shop overhaul and repair environment.
  • Meet minimum requirements relative to holding a Sikorsky Flight Safety Certification.
Desired Skills
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Training and experience with Sikorsky Models S61, SH3H, S76, S92, UH60A/L/M, S70i, S70M.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations 14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65, & 145.
  • FAA 145 Repair Station Experience.
  • Component Overhaul & Repair experience.
  • Strong Computer Skills.
  • Certified Sikorsky Flight Safety Parts Inspector.
