We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic - Avionics and Propulsion Specialist to join our team at Lockheed Martin Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repairs, overhauls, and modifications on various aircraft components in accordance with FAA-approved procedures, OEM manuals, and drawings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs, overhauls, and modifications on aircraft components, including hydraulic systems, in accordance with FAA-approved procedures and OEM manuals.
- Overhaul and repair hydraulic components, including landing gear components used on Sikorsky S/H-92 aircraft.
- Work independently with limited supervision to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
- Adhere to EH&S requirements, FAA and EASA regulations, company rules, policies, procedures, and corporate initiatives.
- Work occasional overtime as required to support business requirements.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Shop Lead Person.
- Stay up-to-date with new products and technologies, and be able to learn and comprehend new systems and procedures.
- Aviation experience and knowledge of FAA rules and regulations.
- Competence with the use of torque wrenches, tooling, and fixturing equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- FAA A&P license (desired but not required).
- Knowledge of overhaul of aircraft hydraulic components (desired but not required).
