About the Role:In this unique position, you will leverage your knowledge of electronics, direct digital controls, airflow, hydronics, refrigeration theory, and building control techniques to ensure the BAS system is running smoothly. You will be responsible for retrofitting new systems, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing building automation systems in diverse commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Retrofit and repair of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts.
- Diagnose and repair issues with building automation systems, including programming, commissioning, and startup of Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara based controls systems.
- Work independently, with occasional on-call rotation and overtime to support the business, including overnight stays.
- Collaborate with a supportive team to ensure seamless service and maintenance of Trane Technologies/Trane Customers in a defined market.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience with commercial controls and BAS systems.
- Previous background in programming, commissioning, and startup of Siemens, Johnson Controls, Honeywell, or Tridium/Niagara based controls systems is highly desirable.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and comfortable with hand-held devices (i.e., Smartphone, iPad).
- A valid driver's license, with no major or frequent traffic violations.
- EPA Certification Preferred.
