Cardiology Position Overview:

Bon Secours Mercy Health is actively looking for a dedicated and skilled board-eligible or board-certified Cardiologist to become part of our esteemed Heart and Vascular Institute. This role emphasizes clinical cardiology with a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, including echocardiography, stress testing, and cardiac imaging aligned with the candidate's training and interests.

Our Heart & Vascular Institute stands as the largest and continually expanding practice in the area, currently employing 15 cardiologists, including 4 interventional cardiologists and 3 electrophysiology specialists. The team is supported by 10 advanced practice clinicians who facilitate care delivery across both inpatient and outpatient environments. Our cardiology services are offered at multiple locations while catering to several hospitals in the surrounding regions.

The Heart and Vascular group is complemented by 2 board-certified Cardiothoracic surgeons and 4 board-certified vascular surgeons, performing a high volume of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures each year. This collaborative specialist team works closely together, including participation in a multidisciplinary valve clinic that supports a comprehensive TAVR and Structural Heart Program, which is unique in the vicinity.

Our facility is recognized as a Level 1 trauma center, a certified stroke center, and holds chest pain certification with PCI capabilities, in addition to being a distinguished sepsis center of excellence.

This is a full-time employment opportunity with no overhead or buy-in obligations.

The call schedule is structured at 1:9 for weeknights and 1:3 for weekends.
