Nondestructive Testing Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Nondestructive Testing Engineer to join our team of experts in Clearfield, UT, Palmdale, CA, and Melbourne, FL.
Job Summary:We are looking for a talented engineer to develop and implement advanced nondestructive inspection techniques, including automated and hand-held methods, for production programs. The successful candidate will work closely with our Inspection Development Group to design, fabricate, and test automated inspection systems, and integrate advanced NDT technologies into production processes.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement nondestructive inspection techniques for production programs
- Design, fabricate, and test automated inspection systems
- Integrate advanced NDT technologies into production processes
- Perform inspections of composite structures and evaluate indications for structural engineers
- Support other MRB activities, including writing SWI and EWIs
- Assist with the design, fabrication, and qualification of defect standards
- Qualify NDT techniques and automated inspection systems for programs
- Provide NDT cost estimates for programs
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
- Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) per NAS410
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- Preferred qualifications include ASNT Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), experience in Ultrasonic Testing of composite materials, and knowledge of Ultrasonic Phased Array technology
Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $55,100 - $82,700, as well as a discretionary bonus and a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, and paid time off.
