Job Summary

The Customer Outreach Manager will be responsible for identifying and conducting strategic support for public benefit enrollment and referral services for income-eligible central and eastern Ohio residents. This includes developing partnerships that provide customers with Social Determinants of Health resources, strategizing and implementing outreach programs that enhance accessibility to our services, and collaborating closely with team members to innovate new solutions and track the efficacy of outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Distribute materials about benefits, eligibility, and the application process.
  • Use the Ohio Benefits Self-Service Portal and Marketplace to pre-screen and assist clients with enrollment into insurance, as well as determine eligibility for public benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid, and OWF.
  • Identify customers who are currently engaged in food and nutrition services provided by MOFC to assess Social Determinants of Health needs and target interventions based on facilitated assessments and customer requests.
  • Coordinate resource events, presentations, public speaking engagements, and other initiatives targeted to promote program and services.
Requirements

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be interacting with diverse community members and stakeholders. Your ability to actively listen and empathize will foster trust and build lasting relationships.

Problem-solving skills are vital, enabling you to identify community needs and develop innovative outreach strategies. A customer-centric mindset will guide your interactions, ensuring that all initiatives are tailored to effectively meet the needs of those we serve. Additionally, adaptability is crucial, as you will navigate various challenges and seize opportunities in a dynamic environment, while a collaborative spirit and the ability to work well within a relaxed yet forward-thinking team will ensure your success in driving impactful change in our community.

A bachelor's degree in a related field, plus at least three years of social service/human services experience or work in an outreach or social services field, is preferred. Must have a High School Diploma/GED and a valid Driver's License, as frequent travel within our service area is required. Knowledge of and experience with public benefits and community resources, specifically SNAP, Medicaid, Ohio Works First, Women, Infants, and Children, CSFP, and the Home Energy Assistance Program, is preferred.
