Job Summary

North Oaks Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Lead Scientist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our laboratory operations, while providing technical expertise and guidance to our laboratory staff.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage laboratory operations, including test validations, new method implementation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to laboratory staff, including training, competency assessment, and performance improvement.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and national regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of laboratory services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new laboratory procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
