Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Installation and Planning Specialist to join our team at Altium Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with our PACK process and driving efficiency in our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project designers, BIM technicians, project managers, and field teams to allocate resources effectively.
  • Schedule workforce, set requirements, and evaluate personnel capabilities.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate the flow of products through our manufacturing process.
  • Implement, maintain, and evaluate quality control measures in design and manufacturing.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Meet project schedules and completion dates efficiently.
  • Evaluate best practices for field installation and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess projects for the impact of providing design and PACKs.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop installation timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Review installation plans and specifications to ensure compliance with PACK requirements.
  • Optimize processes and procedures to ensure operational alignment with PACK.
  • Interface with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure schedules are achieved.
  • Provide regular updates to the Installation and Planning Manager on project status and any issues affecting committed projects.
Requirements
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, and submittals.
  • In-depth understanding of installation means and methods used in the electrical construction industry, with a focus on front-end design-produced prefabrication and pre-assembly of electrical products and assemblies.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods across multiple trade disciplines, including concrete forming and placement, steel erection, mechanical, and framing.
  • Firm understanding of electrical installation order and durations, as well as the disciplines mentioned above.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain a strong knowledge of procurement and logistics.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam, with a preference for Microsoft Power Platform Software Suite.
  • Ability to learn and use related software and systems as required.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a high-production environment while responding quickly and effectively under pressure to tight timelines/deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with internal and external customers and vendors.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred, or 6 years of construction experience is required.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in scheduling, project management, or other operational roles.
Work Environment
  • Office environment with periodic travel to job sites required.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to talk and hear.
  • Must be able to sit frequently.
  • Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, climb, balance, crouch, or crawl, stoop, and kneel.
  • Must be able to safely operate a vehicle to travel to and from job sites.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to safely maneuver in a construction environment.
