About the Role

TikTok is committed to creating a safe and enjoyable experience for all users, particularly minors. As a Minor Safety Product Lead, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategies to ensure the platform remains a positive and secure environment for young users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead the strategy for minor safety product development, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with data science, policy, and engineering teams to design and implement effective safety features and tools for minors.
  • Work with minor safety and wellness experts to stay up-to-date on the latest industry research and insights, ensuring that our safety features and tools are evidence-based and effective.
  • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and constantly changing environment, ensuring that safety features and tools are delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Work with global teams across multiple regions, time zones, and languages, open to domestic and international travel.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in product management in consumer-facing mobile or web internet companies, ideally in Trust & Safety or Risk Management roles.
  • 3+ years of Trust & Safety experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Datadriven, capable of indepth data interpretation and utilizing data for prioritization and/or decision making.
  • Ability to design product solutions based on evidence; proven track record of delivering value-adding products, and/or organizational or process changes that benefit the business.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, able to influence and unite cross-functional teams.
  • Passionate about creating safe and enriching experiences for minors; Basic knowledge of online digital safety.
  • Deep understanding of abuse trends specific to US cultural norms and sensitivities.
  • Attention to detail, highly self-driven and results-oriented.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
