Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, therapy, and management of patients according to current standards of care utilizing best evidence-based practices recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively with patients to provide a Patient-Centered approach to care, adhering to the organization's Patient-Centered mission.
  • Drive organization-specific initiatives, including STAR, HEIDIS, and CAPHS/HOS, and ensure that processes and procedures are in-line with the approved business model.
  • Ensure quality indicators are being met and continuously improved by participating in Quality Meetings.
  • Supervise clinician team members, including coordination of paid time off, CME time, and expense approvals.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to ensure the success of the clinic team within the clinics.
  • Ensure clinician team members are in compliance with Optum policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the State of Arizona or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Board certification or Board Eligible in Internal or Family Medicine.
  • Current and unrestricted DEA certificate.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of primary care operations, management practices, human relations, consensus building, and collaborative ability.
  • Strong oral and written communication techniques and be professionally respected by peers.
