The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for spearheading the design and implementation of innovative technology systems and tools that align with the mission of NRG Consulting Group. This role involves close collaboration with the Chief Information Officer to evaluate the current systems, processes, and tools in place.
Reports to: Executive Director
Key Responsibilities- Offer strategic guidance to the executive leadership regarding technology architecture, focusing on recommendations that support significant organizational growth;
- Oversee the design and development of new technology systems and tools to enhance organizational capabilities;
- Implement technological solutions, applications, automations, and systems integrations that optimize workflows across the organization, including third-party API integrations;
- Conduct Research & Development initiatives to continuously explore new technologies that could benefit the organization;
- Establish strategic alliances with technology vendors and industry leaders to foster innovation;
- Assess new technologies for compatibility and interoperability with existing systems and processes;
- Align technology architecture with the strategic priorities of the organization;
- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promotion, and management of technology staff;
- Provide hands-on support for ongoing technology projects;
- Manage relationships with consultants and vendors, ensuring that project timelines are adhered to;
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in technology architecture, design, development, and team leadership;
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networking, databases, mass communication technologies, system reliability, and software algorithms;
- Experience in managing technology procurement processes, including reviewing statements of work and proposals;
- Proficiency in programming languages with the ability to read and write code;
- Strong strategic planning and goal-setting skills that lead to measurable outcomes;
- Proven experience in dynamic and complex work environments, both on-site and remotely;
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, take initiative, and provide effective problem-solving recommendations;
- Exceptional research and analytical skills;
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail;
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion;
- Capability to estimate technical solutions accurately;
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
