Custodian Job Description

Columbine Health Systems is a leading provider of senior health care in Northern Colorado, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our residents and valued employees.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Columbine Commons Assisted Living/Health and Rehab facility in Windsor, CO.

Job Summary

The Custodian will be responsible for performing custodial work in facility common spaces and other building interiors, ensuring a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using industrial equipment.
  • Dust and wash walls, ceilings, and light fixtures.
  • Wash and replace blinds, move furniture and equipment to clean areas.
  • Remove stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Sweep walks, remove snow, and perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a minimum of 8th-grade education and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be interested in geriatrics, able to work independently or with a team, and attentive to detail.
  • Must be able to tolerate lifting, pushing, and pulling in the 25-pound range frequently.
