We are seeking a highly skilled Social Worker/Therapist to join our team at Highlands Behavioral Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and families affected by mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the integration of social services functions in the patient care, discharge planning, and aftercare planning process with other hospital departments, external service organizations, agencies, and healthcare facilities.
- Provide direct care to patients as appropriate and ensure compliance with quality patient care and regulatory standards.
- Assist patients and their families through the use of psychotherapeutic skills to understand, identify, and resolve complex problems resulting from psychiatric illnesses utilizing group and individual therapies.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field such as counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure by the State of Colorado (L.C.S.W.) preferred - actively pursuing a license within 90 days and license obtained within 2 years of employment.
- Previous placement or internship in a psychiatric setting would be helpful, but not required.
