As a pivotal leader, you will oversee business development initiatives and foster government relations, ensuring alignment with our federal civilian portfolio. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding business development strategies and enhancing our competitive edge in the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute significantly to the annual Strategic Plan, particularly in Quarterly Business Development Reviews.
- Establish and nurture essential customer relationships to drive revenue growth and enhance profitability.
- Engage in high-stakes negotiations to secure lucrative contracts and cultivate strategic partnerships that expand market offerings.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their understanding of capture management and proposal generation.
- Collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to devise and implement customer engagement strategies and thought leadership initiatives.
- Expand the opportunity pipeline through proactive identification and qualification of new business prospects.
- Formulate and execute strategic plans for the successful pursuit of key opportunities.
- Lead and manage a team of business development professionals to optimize customer engagement and win new business.
- Forge and support strategic alliances with industry leaders to drive innovation and new business ventures.
- Represent the company at industry-related events, conferences, and panels.
- Develop strategies to influence customer requirements and acquisition approaches.
- Work with internal teams to create responses for RFIs, RFPs, market surveys, and customer presentations.
- Analyze RFPs and provide strategic recommendations for bid proposals.
- Contribute to the development of cost estimates and labor category assignments.
- Support the company's thought leadership initiatives.
- Travel as necessary to engage with clients and partners.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of proven experience in business development or sales within the Federal Civilian sector.
- Demonstrated ability to drive company growth effectively.
- Experience managing a pipeline exceeding $100M.
- Successful track record of securing new business opportunities in the Federal Civilian market.
- Strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve business development goals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal procurement processes and guidelines.
- Exceptional public speaking and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Dynamic, collaborative, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with senior-level officials in the federal civilian community.
- In-depth understanding of federal contracting and procurement trends.
- Familiarity with U.S. government policy and budgeting processes.
