Maintenance Technician

Carpenter Co. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to join our team at our Altoona, PA manufacturing plant.
This role is responsible for maintaining all building machinery, including troubleshooting, repairing, testing, and installing.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers and leads to coordinate production schedules with mechanical repairs.
Responsibilities will include:
- Responding to line calls as needed
- Debugging and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Performing preventative maintenance and major mechanical repairs to machinery or equipment
- Operating forklifts, clamp-lifts, genie boom, scissor lifts, and other machinery as needed
- Maintaining interior and exterior lighting systems
- Performing basic electrical installation and piping system installation
Requirements include:
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years technical or specialty education preferred
- PLC experience/education servicing programmable logic systems with Allen Bradley, Yaskawa, Yokogawa, and Siemens highly preferred
- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred
