We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Mentorship Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing lesson plans in assigned curriculum courses, providing written evaluations on each program participant, and contributing to the overall success of our Upward Bound Program.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging lesson plans in mathematics, English/literature, foreign languages, science, history, and arts to support the academic growth of high school students.
- Program Evaluation: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate the progress of program participants and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with program staff to ensure seamless program delivery and contribute to the overall success of the Upward Bound Program.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area.
- Experience: Minimum of two years of teaching experience, preferably in a subject area related to the program.
- Licensure/Certification: NC Teaching License in the subject area preferred.
The Academic Mentorship Specialist will work on a part-time basis, approximately two Saturdays per month, with a flexible schedule to accommodate program needs.
