As a leading firm in electric utility solutions, we pride ourselves on our extensive experience in electrical utility system management, enhancements, and operations. Our expertise spans across a diverse clientele, including government entities, cooperatives, and commercial organizations.
The Project Manager will be responsible for directing all phases of federal government projects, from the initial planning to the final closeout. This role involves close collaboration with senior management and clients to ensure that all deliverables align with the established scope and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of client objectives, policies, and project delivery processes to establish program goals and develop strategies for achievement.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders and project engineers to formulate budgets, timelines, and construction service plans for project components.
- Evaluate design documents to ensure compliance with company standards and project scope.
- Prepare and disseminate reports on project progress and financial status.
- Facilitate project meetings, including pre-award, pre-construction, progress updates, and final closeout discussions.
- Foster and maintain effective relationships with clients.
- In conjunction with the Site Superintendent, create and manage site logistics and personnel assignments.
- Oversee procurement processes, cost management, and change control systems.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure construction quality and accuracy as necessary.
- Establish quality assurance and quality control procedures and perform inspections.
- Promote the company's core safety values and work with the EH&S Director to communicate and enforce safety standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
- Five to ten years of experience managing medium to large federal projects.
- Experience should include working with blueprints, specifications, and proposals to effectively coordinate time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and other project personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.
- Strong delegation skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 30% to various job sites.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- A valid driver's license is required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and life insurance, a 401k plan with company contributions, paid time off, and holidays.
- Salary range: $100,000-$120,000 annually, based on experience, with eligibility for a Short Term Incentive Plan.
