Job Summary

OrthoVirginia, a leading orthopedic specialty practice, is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Services Manager to oversee the multi-disciplinary activities for patients undergoing surgical intervention and recovery in a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective care throughout the PAT, Pre-op, and PACU phases of care.
  • Interpret, direct, and evaluate nursing practice to promote high-quality patient care and improve clinical and financial operations.
  • Make decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicate effectively with other team members.
  • Maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of the unit, and perform additional responsibilities as designed by the Director, Perioperative Services.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a professional school of nursing, preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, PALS certifications.
  • Knowledge of AAAHC rules and regulations.
  • 10 CEUs annually.
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading a team.
