About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Acute Care Surgical Services department at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems.

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, providing high-quality care and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible for compact state licensure.
  • 1-3 years of experience in acute care nursing, preferably in surgical services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 20-50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
