Job Summary:

The Sterile Supply Technician at Conway Medical Center is responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and clean medical instruments and equipment according to established standards and procedures.
  • Prepare case carts and trays for decontamination and load them into washer and/or sterilizer as prescribed by procedure.
  • Operate index washers, cart washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and manually clean instruments and equipment as prescribed by established standards and procedures.
  • Disassemble, clean, assemble, and test patient care equipment for proper functioning.
  • Sort dirty linen, trash, and BFI and dispose of them according to established procedure.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) in the appropriate fashion in all areas.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Central Service/SPD Training Course certification required.
  • Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong PC skills required.
