We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Health Program Director to join our team at the Magnolia Independent School District. As a key member of our school health services team, you will be responsible for implementing comprehensive programs of health services for our campus.

About the Role:

This is an exempt position with an estimated annual salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 based on experience and qualifications. You will serve as a liaison between the school, physicians, parents, and community, providing health education to individuals and groups, and promoting health practices for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement comprehensive programs of health services for the campus.
  • Provide direct care utilizing professional assessment skills, the nursing process, and established school health protocols.
  • Develop and coordinate continuing evaluation of campus health program and make changes based on findings.
  • Participate in development of campus health education curriculum and provide health education to individuals and groups.
  • Assess student problems and make appropriate referrals working with students, teachers, parents, and medical and health care professionals as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program.
  • Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • Certified by Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Two years nursing experience, preferably in community health.

Working Conditions:

This role requires frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing, and ability to lift 30 pounds. Exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases is also a requirement.
