We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team at the Arizona Department of Health Services. As a WIIN Program intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects related to health education, program implementation, and environmental health.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with identifying schools to prioritize for lead testing based on need and through a health equity lens.
- Develop and collect metrics to track the number of schools participating in the program.
- Provide technical assistance to schools and childcare facilities.
- Collaborate with staff on new ideas and directions for the program.
- Update resources and educational materials.
- Assist team with developing a data management tool.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Google Workspace, including Google Sites, Forms, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive.
- Time management, organization, planning, and organizational skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Working towards a degree and a strong desire to develop beyond the classroom.
- Experience in program management or coordination, including volunteer/internship and campus-based experience.
- Experience (including volunteer/internship), coursework, or interest in public health, children's health, or environmental health.
