General Overview....

This role involves supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager and Supervisor in the daily activities of the distribution department and serving as the primary contact for the customer service team.

Key Responsibilities....

  • Evaluate inbound shipments for cross-dock opportunities and monitor on-time delivery.
  • Assist in resolving shipment discrepancies, including providing proof of deliveries and pickups.
  • File carrier claims as necessary.
  • Review shortage reports and liaise with Schedulers and Production.
  • Request the release of products on Micro hold to fulfill next-day orders.
  • Monitor daily demand for replenishment items.
  • Act as a liaison between Customer Service and Warehouse regarding shipments.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound appointments and maintain the Dock Schedule.
  • Adjust customer orders as needed or requested.
  • Communicate any anomalies regarding outbound shipments and appointment delays to customer service and transportation.
  • Schedule and oversee the movement of finished goods to and from cold storage facilities.
  • Collaborate with cycle counters to investigate inventory discrepancies and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure all orders from the previous day are closed.
  • Support month-end closing by monitoring the Open Order Report.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas, as well as Outlook email.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems is essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
