About the Role

The Physician Assistant works collaboratively with an attending physician to provide exceptional patient care at WMCHealth. This professional provider functions as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring direct diagnostic and therapeutic care that meets the highest standards of the organization.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Care: The Physician Assistant assesses, triages, and manages patient/family needs throughout the disease process, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, reviewing/orders diagnostic/therapeutic tests, and formulating treatment plans.
  • Patient Education & Psychosocial Support: Educates patients/families on care and recommended resources, providing psychosocial support in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
  • Licenses / Certifications: New York State Physician Assistant License ACLS/BLS Certified (when indicated for position profile) DEA License (when indicated for position profile) PALS Certification (when indicated for pediatric care) NRP Certification (when indicated for neonatal care).

Hiring Range: $62.23-$73.05
