Surgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our surgical services team at WMCHealth, a comprehensive network of behavioral health services in the Hudson Valley.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. As a Surgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Lead, you will be responsible for performing medical evaluations, treatment, follow-up and consultations for diverse trauma and acute care surgical patients.
You will provide first assist in the Operating Room on open and minimally invasive procedures, deliver direct patient care as part of a collaborative patient care team, and gain working competency of procedures inclusive of central line placement/removal, insertion/removal of chest tubes, and arterial lines.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. If you are a motivated and dedicated healthcare professional looking to take on a leadership role, we encourage you to apply.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have a current license to practice as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role. Board certification is also required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centered care and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
In exchange for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary of $135,000 per year, paid vacation time, CME opportunities, and malpractice insurance.
