Job Summary

The Program Manager T&D Projects is responsible for overseeing the execution of electric transmission, substation, and distribution infrastructure projects within the Major Projects program of projects. This role requires strategic alignment and coordinative oversight to ensure the safe, efficient, and economic execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and programs through collaboration with sponsors, leaders, and subject matter experts across all technical disciplines.
  • Plan, prioritize, resource, measure, and report on progress, delivery, and impact or benefits realization.
  • Maximize the value of strategic consulting partnerships by serving as the main point of interface between consulting partner and OPPD for all stages of projects in the portfolio.
  • Coordinate and provide progress reporting to executives, leaders, and other stakeholders within OPPD.
  • Ensure team members identify, manage, and mitigate risks consistently and elevate to the Executive Leadership Team or Enterprise Risk Management Committee(s) when appropriate.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business management, or related field or a combination of education and demonstrated work experience that provides the necessary skills to perform the essential job functions.
  • 6-8 years of experience in engineering, operation, or project management of large, complex electric transmission, substation, or distribution projects.
  • Experience in contract creation and management of external partners, along with various project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of office software, with experience in project management software such as Primavera P6, Aconex, Smartsheet, Procore, Autodesk, or others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with technical, legal, financial, regulatory, government, and executive level clients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in engineering, business management, or related field.
  • PMP Certification (Project Management Professional).
  • Combination of experiences on both electrical generation and electrical delivery fields.
  • Prior experience managing project programs or portfolios > $50M+ including management of project teams of 10 or more.
