Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aquatic Operations Manager to join our team at Loudoun County Government. As a key member of our Parks, Recreation & Community Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable use of our aquatic facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the operation of pools, including water quality and chemical management.
  • Monitor and enforce safe use of pools by patrons, including surveillance and rescue techniques.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise lifeguard staff to ensure high-quality service.
  • Schedule and coordinate aquatics programs and activities, including setup and maintenance of pool facilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience in aquatics programming, pool facility management, and public service.
  • Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, First Aid Certification, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification.
  • Loudoun County-approved Pool Operator's License.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic first aid techniques necessary to treat injuries that may occur in a pool environment.
  • Skill in swimming and applying lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
  • Ability to physically make rescues as required.
  • Knowledge of pool equipment and proper pool chemistry.
