Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a distinguished Academic Leader to fill an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and mentor psychiatry residents, child/adolescent psychiatry fellows, and psychology interns and post-doctoral trainees in the evaluation and treatment of ADHD and borderline personality disorder across the lifespan.
  • Conduct neuropsychological evaluations and provide psychotherapeutic treatment to patients with externalizing pathology, particularly those with overlapping symptoms of ADHD and personality disorders.
  • Engage in translational research in the etiology, development, and treatment of impulsive behavior, suicidal behavior, and affective instability across the lifespan.

Requirements

  • MD or PhD or MD/PhD degree
  • Expertise in ADHD, borderline personality disorder, and other externalizing conditions in adults
  • National and international reputation in the field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching, research, and clinical practice in population mental health
  • Strong publication record and research funding
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive environment
