As a Telecommunications Network Specialist, you will participate in our rigorous Network Implementation (NI) Academy training program, designed to develop tech-savvy individuals in network operations, IP, and customer care. You will learn about our technology, networks, products, processes, and customer service best practices.

This is an onsite position in our Washington state market, with offices located in Seattle and Kent. You will select one of these locations as your primary work site.

The estimated salary for this role is $63,375 per year, based on national data and location. This figure may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Designing, installing, and maintaining fiber optic cable systems and equipment in our data centers and offices.
  • Using systems such as SAP, Microsoft Office, Autocad, Microstation, and/or Lumen-specific systems to plan, manage, and document outside plant projects.
  • Managing budgets, ordering materials, processing invoices, and resolving issues related to outside plant projects.
  • Working with networking optical hardware, such as transponders, amplifiers, switches, routers, and servers.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network issues, such as outages, performance degradation, and configuration errors.
  • Building relationships with business partners, customers, and vendors.
  • Creating maintenance requests and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
  • Demonstrating multi-discipline expertise and responsibility.

You will require strong analytical, leadership, and presentation skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. A high school diploma and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications are essential. Experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.
