Job Summary

We are seeking a Claims Adjuster Trainee to join our team at Progressive Insurance. As a Claims Adjuster Trainee, you will be responsible for resolving insurance claims in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with customers, claimants, and witnesses to determine coverage, liability, and negotiate settlements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Coverage: Evaluate insurance policies to determine coverage for claims.
  • Determine Liability: Investigate claims to determine who is at fault for damages.
  • Interview Customers and Claimants: Conduct interviews with customers and claimants to gather information and resolve claims.
  • Partner with Appraisers/Estimators: Collaborate with appraisers and estimators to manage vehicle repairs and resolve claims.
  • Negotiate with Customers and Insurance Carriers: Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers to resolve claims.
Requirements
  • Three Years of Relevant Work Experience or a Bachelor's degree or two years of relevant work experience and an associate degree.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid role, which means you will work in-office two days a week and choose where you want to work the other three days, whether that's at home or in the office, for a period of 12 months. After that period, the days you will be expected to report to an office for important meetings, training, and collaboration will vary based on business needs.
