Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Educator to join our team at SaintJoseph Health System. As a key member of our community wellness team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and support to our patients and community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective wellness education programs that meet the needs of our community.
  • Collaborate with our management team to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Provide screenings and education based on test results, and maintain accurate records of participant outcomes.
  • Participate in program training and demonstrate competency with program material and format.
  • Utilize effective group leadership skills to engage and motivate participants.
  • Model healthy and positive behavior for class participants.
  • Seek answers to participant questions and report back to them.
  • Participate in health fairs, educational presentations, and other community health activities as requested.
  • Attend department staff meetings and participate in process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Active demonstration of our organization's mission and core values.
  • Knowledge and adherence to laws and regulations pertaining to patient health, safety, and medical information.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
